Hi, hope you are well. I haven’t posted in quite a while and wanted to start blogging regularly to document everything going on in the world right now. I am working on some longer blog posts about the current global pandemic and how this has affected life for so many people but to begin with I saw that I had three drafts from earlier in the year that I wanted to share.
This is the first of those posts! I have been interviewing applicants who want to work at summer camps in the USA and Canada since 2015 now and I reached a huge milestone of completing my 1000th interview in January. The interview or ‘profile review’ process is a VISA requirement for anyone looking to work at a summer camp abroad and it helps to get profiles complete and ready to send to camps.
Since January, I have actually reached over 1100 interviews completed. I really enjoy chatting to people and finding out how they heard about the summer camp opportunity, their skills and experience. At the moment lots of camps are choosing to close for 2020 but come back stronger than ever in 2021 including my own camp in Minnesota.
Here is a little post by USA Summer Camp on their Facebook page back in January:

Have you ever worked at a summer camp or abroad in one way or another in the past? Let me know in the comments below.
Hope you are doing well. Take care and stay safe! – Glen.
