Hi everyone, hope you are well. I wanted to post an update on the house renovation as it has been a little while since I did a video. In this instalment I have just done a bit more work myself and mostly preparation for tradespeople to come in and begin the larger projects. I have also used this video to walk through the house and explain the next stages, the work that will be underway soon and upcoming projects. I have also included some photos here of the work I have completed taking off the remaining wallpaper and backing paper from the staircase, porch and living room areas.
Ladder for Staircase Wallpaper Removal. Looking Up from Bottom of Stairs. Top of Stairs, Wallpaper Removed. Another Top of Stairs View, Wallpaper Removed. Wallpaper Removed Above Bedroom Doors. Here is the latest video instalment as mentioned above, you’ll also see a walkthrough of the house as it is at the moment and me talking through what I’ve done and the upcoming work/projects. This had probably the hardest section of work I have done so far myself in it… The wallpaper on the staircase (with it being so high) took a fair bit of work. I didn’t think I was going to be able to reach the top actually but after speaking to my neighbour she suggested using a sponge, hot soapy water and scoring the backing paper instead of the steamer. This worked a treat!
Thank you so much for reading and taking a look at the photos and videos. I hope it won’t be as long until the next update. Have a lovely day, take care and stay safe – Glen.
