Summer Camp Music

Summer Camp Music

Music is a key element to working at a summer camp in the USA. There are many songs that are deemed inappropriate to play which can make things a little tricky. Each camp has their own policy on what can and cannot be played at camp but I've created a playlist to help you this season in America. When I worked at summer camp I compiled a list of songs that were child-friendly and that the kids there loved! I played this music for all ages ranging from five years old right up to seventeen. Hope you like it!

Happy St. David’s Day!

Happy St. David’s Day!

Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus! (yn Cymraeg/in Welsh). I was gong to put both versions Welsh and English in the title but that would have been a bit long! 1st March is 'the feast day of Saint David', the patron saint of Wales. The date we celebrate St David's Day is actually the day that he died back in 589 AD. I've done a bit of research as I've not studied it since school!

Eating Vegan in Richmond VA

Eating Vegan in Richmond VA

I visited Richmond in Virginia, USA over the Xmas and New Years break. I was there visiting my friends Adam and Michael and we visited plenty of restaurants and cafés. I wanted to post about this in a separate blog entry as there were so many meals I wanted to speak about. If you want to see what I got up to whilst there you can read my last blog post about my trip here.

Bailey is Six Months Old

Bailey is Six Months Old

I can't believe how quickly the time has flown! Bailey is our golden Labrador puppy and he was born in August. He turned six months old on Monday this week and I wanted to post a blog entry with some newer photos and to show how much he has grown! Since my last post about him, 'Meet Bailey' he has lost all of his puppy teeth and has grown significantly. He now weighs over 25kgs and we have a feeling he's going to be a very tall Labrador from the amount he has already grown and the size of his paws!

Living Big in a Tiny House

Living Big in a Tiny House

If you've been following my website and blog for a while you'll know that I am really interested in tiny homes and living as much of a minimalist lifestyle as possible. I have a playlist on my YouTube channel where I save my favourite tiny home video tours and to be totally honest the only feed I am interested in now is Bryce's from Living Big in a Tiny House. Bryce is from New Zealand and he travels around the world visiting as many tiny homes as possible. His videos are so well produced and the homes are breathtaking! Check out my last post about tiny home inspiration.

Chilli Recipe (Vegan)

Chilli Recipe (Vegan)

I have been eating a plant-based diet since May 2018 and I have adapted some of my favourite recipes so they are now vegan. I have cooked this for family and friends and they have loved it just as much (if not more) than a chilli with beef mince in it! I actually prefer the flavour of this chilli and it is full of nutritional goodness! Hope you enjoy. Please let me know if you try it!

My Trip to Virginia

My Trip to Virginia

I visited Virginia (and travelled to West Virginia too when there) for Xmas and New Years 2018-2019. I have decided to split this post into two sections because there was so much to talk about vegan food-wise that I'll speak about those another week. This post consists of all the touristy things, enjoy!

Netflix Films + Shows

Netflix Films + Shows

I have raved about how good Netflix is on my blog before but they continue to amaze me and release new content! I have updated a list of films and shows I have watched since my last post on Netflix and included them here for you. I'd love to hear if you've seen any of these titles and what you think of them! Please let me know.

Why Apply for USA Summer Camp?

Why Apply for USA Summer Camp?

I've spoken about working at summer camp before on my blog but I wanted to focus on some key elements of why it is one of the most valuable jobs you will ever have. There are so many reasons why you should work at a summer camp and I don't think I'll be able to cover them all in this post but I would love to hear what you think are the best aspects - please let me know if you've worked there before!
