This week Deliciously Ella released The Plant Based Cookbook. I pre-ordered it and mine actually arrived Wednesday, a day before the official release. I am really inspired to cook more plant based meals now from receiving these amazing recipes and along with her YouTube channel, app and podcast I've definitely had an overload (in a good way) of Deliciously Ella this week!

Rest + Relaxation

This week is quite a simple post as I have been relaxing on weekends as of late. I have lots of work on during the week and I have allocated the weekends to spending some time to unplug and rest so that I can begin the next week refreshed! So far this is going really well and I am enjoying having a couple of days to myself every week. It has meant that the workload Monday to Friday has increased but I have found new ways to cope with this which I've covered in this post.

It has been almost ten weeks since I began eating a plant-based diet upon my return from the USA. I can honestly say I am very surprised (in a good way) and do not miss anything that I used to eat/drink. In this blog post I will be talking through how my plant-based diet is going as well as where I draw the line with vegan foods and what I now consume. I hope this will be insightful and I am really interested in what you think about plant-based diets.

On Saturday I went to Cosy Club Cardiff and was really impressed with their vegan menu. It is nice being able to go to a restaurant and have multiple choices (here I even got given my own menu) instead of being limited on choices. Something I have been wanting to do for a while is change my eating habits. I have a sweet tooth for sure and binge on biscuits and sugary processed foods which I know are bad for me. One way I have been thinking of helping this is by going vegan. There are many other benefits and reasons I am considering going vegan as well and I'm going to cover them in this blog post.

The biggest thing I am considering with my own tiny house project is living off-grid. There are many different elements to think about and I have covered some in this blog post. There are far more considerations when building a tiny home than the ones included in this blog post but I believe these are a good start! I haven't researched enough into each of these yet but I will be learning as time goes on and throughout the project.

After a much-needed break from consuming too much social media, I've decided to change how I use networks! For those of you who don't know I decided two weeks ago to have a 'Social Media Cleanse' where I unfollowed all accounts on Twitter, Instagram, Google Plus, Tumblr and Snapchat. I still posted on social media using the apps but I didn't look at other people's posts for this time.

With so many posts being published on social media every day it is sometimes hard to resist a scroll through. This is something that I have been conscious of the past few weeks and I realised that I would spend up to an hour of my day scrolling through Instagram alone! I have decided to have a couple of weeks away from social media consumption to see how it affects my productivity and mindset. I will still be posting as usual with my updates but I have dedicated apps for this sole purpose of posting not consuming.
