With everything going on in the world right now it's more important than ever to find gratitude wherever possible. I wanted to write a blog post to let you know what I am thankful for within my daily schedule and things that I have appreciated more than ever since March. I think it's fair to say that everyone has been through quite a lot since March with work, finances, health, relocating, job uncertainty, stress and anxiety to name a few. Even though it might seem that things wouldn't get any better at times, I found it really helped to change my mindset on things as much as I could to be more grateful.
Hi everyone! Hope you are well. Today we have the third of the blog posts I drafted back in January where I wanted to review new vegan options in the UK. This one is for the Pizza Hut Vegan Pepperoni option. This one took me a little longer to get to at the start of 2020 as none of the Pizza Hut restaurants around my in Birmingham delivered to my address. I think I managed to get a delivery partner like Uber Eats, Deliveroo or Just Eat to deliver this one thankfully so I didn't have to walk from the city centre to my apartment before trying it.
Hi everyone! Hope you are well. We have another drafted blog post from January today and I wanted to update it and post it regardless of it being about six months late to the game. So KFC has joined the likes of Greggs and other food chains in offering a vegan option in their restaurants. I use to eat KFC myself before I adopted a vegan/plant-based diet in May 2018 (wow, I can't believe it has been over two years now)! My family tend to visit KFC on occasion and I never ate anything if I was going with them as even KFC's fries are cooked in the same oil as the meat unfortunately so the most I would get would be a soft drink.
Greggs have done it again. 2020 has brought us the vegan steak bake and this was another crowd pleaser by the sounds of it. I have to say I am really impressed and I enjoyed the pasty very much. It's not something that I go for too often as too much pastry isn't good but it's nice to have an alternative treat to a sausage roll if I visit Greggs in the future.
Hi, hope you are well. I haven't posted in quite a while and wanted to start blogging regularly to document everything going on in the world right now. I am working on some longer blog posts about the current global pandemic and how this has affected life for so many people but to begin with I saw that I had three drafts from earlier in the year that I wanted to share.
Hey there! Good evening. It has been a while since I have written a blog post on my website and I wanted to change that. I'm going to be honest, it was tough thinking of content to post on a weekly basis and I think that's what contributed to me stopping last Spring. Since then a lot has happened so I wanted to write a little 2019 summary post and let you know what is happening in my life. I have reflected on the past year and having been reminded of just how much I did in 2019 by my Photos app on my iPhone, I was blown away!
This week Apple held their March 2019 keynote in California at the Steve Jobs Theatre. They held a services based conference this time and announced many new products that are upcoming this year. I have kept this blog post quite concise by publishing my notes that I took whilst watch the keynote so I hope they're quite easy to skim through and you find them useful.
I couldn't recommend podcasts enough at the moment. They are the perfect break from everyday life and a way to escape and make time for yourself within busy schedules. There are so many available for free to listen to and I have learnt so much so far this year! I have popped five podcasts in this blog entry that I would recommend highly and a little summary about each.
Music is a key element to working at a summer camp in the USA. There are many songs that are deemed inappropriate to play which can make things a little tricky. Each camp has their own policy on what can and cannot be played at camp but I've created a playlist to help you this season in America. When I worked at summer camp I compiled a list of songs that were child-friendly and that the kids there loved! I played this music for all ages ranging from five years old right up to seventeen. Hope you like it!
