Elsa Rhae + Barron, Normal to Nomad

I have recently stumbled across amazing content online from Elsa Rhae & Barron Link on YouTube, their websites, Apple Podcasts and their Instagram accounts. A video was recommended to me on my YouTube home page (thank you algorithm!) which I have embedded below. The video went into detail about isolation in their 13ft Scamp trailer which they live in full time and the effects of a winter snow storm on their daily lives.

 Apple Special Event March 2019

This week Apple held their March 2019 keynote in California at the Steve Jobs Theatre. They held a services based conference this time and announced many new products that are upcoming this year. I have kept this blog post quite concise by publishing my notes that I took whilst watch the keynote so I hope they're quite easy to skim through and you find them useful.

 Apple Special Event October 2018

So I know I said I wasn't going to post about Apple for a while after five blog posts in September/October! How could I not speak about the new iPad Pro, MacBook Air and other announcements from their October Special Event in New York. I usually watch keynote presentations live (as they're usually 10am California time which is 6pm in the U.K.) however this one was 10am New York time, which at the moment is only 2pm in the U.K. (our clocks have changed back an hour before the USA's have). Nevertheless I watched it as soon as I got home from work. I am trying something different this week by posting my notes taken during the presentation! These are copied straight from my Notes app and I'll add comments underneath speaking about each point made. Hope you enjoy reading!

 Apple iPhone XS Max Review

 Apple iPhone XS Max Review

The iPhone XS and XS Max came out last Friday (21st September) and I upgraded my handset in Cardiff. I am on the iPhone Upgrade Program so pay a monthly fee to Barclays Partner Finance and basically lease the iPhone until a new one is released. I do this because I don't have to worry about selling the device after a year or two of use (which I used to do) and it is covered by AppleCare+ the entire time.

 Apple iOS 12 Review

 Apple iOS 12 Review

The much anticipated iOS 12 update was released this Monday and I wanted to write this blog post as a quick review and recap of what was in the update. I have only been using the software since Monday so I haven't used everything to it's full potential but I have a pretty good idea of how things work and what updates have been integrated.

 Apple WWDC 2018 Recap

 Apple WWDC 2018 Recap

The Worldwide Developers Conference 2018 keynote took place on Monday and Apple covered a lot! I've spoken about the key features here and focused on the ones that interested me most. David Attenborough narrated a video showing 'the developer' (depicted as a species) attending WWDC and it was brilliant. I was laughing throughout the video and it was really well produced. Apple usually features an opening clip before conferences nowadays and this has to be one of my favourites.
