My journey to a minimalist life
I have recently stumbled across amazing content online from Elsa Rhae & Barron Link on YouTube, their websites, Apple Podcasts and their Instagram accounts. A video was recommended to me on my YouTube home page (thank you algorithm!) which I have embedded below. The video went into detail about isolation in their 13ft Scamp trailer which they live in full time and the effects of a winter snow storm on their daily lives.
I visited Richmond in Virginia, USA over the Xmas and New Years break. I was there visiting my friends Adam and Michael and we visited plenty of restaurants and cafés. I wanted to post about this in a separate blog entry as there were so many meals I wanted to speak about. I visited Virginia (and travelled to West Virginia too when there) for Xmas and New Years 2018-2019. I have decided to split this post into two sections because there was so much to talk about vegan food-wise that I'll speak about those another week. This post consists of all the touristy things, enjoy!
I've spoken about working at summer camp before on my blog but I wanted to focus on some key elements of why it is one of the most valuable jobs you will ever have. There are so many reasons why you should work at a summer camp and I don't think I'll be able to cover them all in this post but I would love to hear what you think are the best aspects - please let me know if you've worked there before!

Having worked at Summer Camp in the past I learnt some useful information which may be of help to you. If you are a returner or a first-timer you might find these helpful so I've popped them in a blog post for you. I visited London last week from 11th to 14th October to visit my friend Jade and watch Michael McIntyre's Big World Tour show in the O2. I travelled to London Paddington on Thursday morning by train and got there early afternoon. We stayed in a hotel near Lancaster Gate and Kensington Gardens / Hyde Park and had a lovely stay.

Last week we had a Cardiff Disney meet-up (with the hashtag #cardiffdoesdisney). It was a lovely day and I’m so grateful of Lucy (@lucysroomtoys) organising it. It was a chance for everyone to meet up and visit the Disney Store before a picnic and shopping! It was such a lovely day and it was nice to meet everyone. The cast members at the Disney Store Cardiff were absolutely amazing and made our day magical!
Last week I was asked to visit Ysgol Greenhill School to talk at their Lower School Awards Evening. The purpose of my visit was to speak about my experience with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award throughout my time at Greenhill and how it has helped me in further education and employment. The talk went really well and they have asked me to return to speak at some assemblies in the near future. It was great looking back through some old photos from my expeditions and I wanted to feature it in a blog post.
